Former couple Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury hired a nanny to help with their little girl baby as they juggled their busy work lives with being young parents
Molly-Mae Hauge is believed to be receiving the support of the nanny she hired to look after baby Bambi following her split from Tommy Fury.
The former couple, both 25, stunned fans last week by announcing their shock separation after five years together. They had met on Love Island back in 2019 and welcomed their first child together last January. Tommy proposed to Molly-Mae last summer with Bambi there to celebrate with her famous parents.
Molly-Mae has been extremely open with her fans about being a young mum and the challenges she faced along the way. She has never spoke of the nanny they hired to offer support while being a busy working parents, but they have been seen together over the years. The influencer returned to work just three months after giving birth to Bambi as she carried on her creative director role at fashion brand Pretty Little Thing.
She previously admitted to be struggling with "solo-parenting" as Tommy had to work away as part of his boxing career. Molly-Mae opened up in several of her YouTube vlogs about feeling alone while Tommy was forced to prioritise his professional sporting career. In July 2023, fans of the couple noticed their nanny had helped provide support as they went on holiday.
Molly-Mae, Tommy and their nanny were seen at an airport in Athens together following their trip to Greece. While some fans were surprised Molly-Mae hadn't mentioned their nanny in her vlogs, many came to their defence as the nanny was spotted pushing Bambi. One said: "She’s allowed to have a nanny ?? It her life lol." Another added: "They owe zero explanation."
Someone else commented: "There’s nothing wrong with having a nanny.. many people who have less work than Molly and Tommy have nannies ?" A fourth wrote: "You don’t have to be a millionaire I had a nanny! You just have to work!!" One fan added: "Doesn’t taking a nanny on a holiday make sense you can enjoy the time with your partner whilst still knowing your baby is close and safe."
A nanny provides childcare for children in the parent's own home. According to Childcare, Nannies can sometimes live with the family as many opt to have a full-time nanny but it is also popular to employ a part-time nanny or after-school live-out nanny. Nannies can also be hired to provide care for newborn babies during the night, who are known as night nannies.
In June 2022, there were 8,820 nannies officially registered with Ofsted but nannies do not need to register with the regulator. According to Statista, an estimated 58,400 nannies worked in the UK in 2023.
Molly-Mae's nanny has been supporting the young mum following her split from Tommy. She was seen taking daughter Bambi out for a walk in her pram alongside Molly-Mae's mum Deborah. The pair seemed to give Molly-Mae some much-needed time to relax. Deborah wore a pair of oversized black sunglasses as she took Bambi out for a bit of fresh air, as the nanny walked alongside in a pair of black trousers and a white jumper.
In their heartbreaking split statements, both Molly-Mae and Tommy emphasised that their daughter Bambi would remain their 'priority'. It has since been claimed that Tommy's desire to have a wild night with his friends instead of looking after Bambi in their £3.5m Cheshire home caused a huge rift between the former couple.
Speaking to Mail Online, it was claimed Molly-Mae had taken a rare night away from parenting duties to stay at her mother’s home in Hertfordshire. She reportedly entrusted their daughter Bambi, who was 12 months old at the time, with her dad Tommy. It has been claimed that upon her return, Molly-Mae found her lavish home was left in a 'mess', with Tommy's hungover friends still sprawled out asleep on the couches.
What reportedly hurt Molly the most was Tommy's decision to leave Bambi in the care of the nanny instead of looking after her himself, a plan which the former couple had reportedly discussed. The incident reportedly led to a blazing row and Molly-Mae was left 'deeply upset' with Tommy over his behaviour.
