This was our second stay Up on the Hill. We certainly felt right at home. Sue is very fast to respond. Be sure to bring floaties to enjoy the river!

We are remodeling our cabin about 10 miles from Sue's place. We booked Up On The Hill for 6 weeks while we were traveling back and forth between FL & WV to supervise construction (and we have another reservation at the end of the month). The home is very well cared for and has quite the story! The wood floors are gorgeous. We felt right at home with plenty of space to both relax and work. I am able to work remote, and there was a great space for me to set up and be productive. Lots of towels, AC, and a really nice loop to walk along the Greenbrier River. Sue was exceptional when it came to communication! I do have to mention the trains. The home is very close to the tracks. Coal trains, grain trains, ammo trains, and even Amtrak go through. The first night we heard 6. The second night we were completely oblivious. The dog didn't even get up, so don't let this put you off. It was fun to count cars and critique graffiti :-)

Almost Heaven Up on the Hill!!!
Very good stay. The place must of had a previous party that smoked inside the house. Ashley warned us she couldn’t get the smell out. Near is a Big Lots and Big Lots Carrie’s Lysol, so we loaded up to make the smoke smell tolerable.

I’m so sorry that the house smelled like smoke. I have a strict non-smoking policy inside the house, but obviously some policies are ignored. I spoke with Ashley to remind her that I should be apprised any time a house rule is broken. Again, I apologize and hope if your travels bring you near us again, you will give me the opportunity to make it right! Thank you for booking your stay Up On The Hill.

Perfect Getaway
My family and I have stayed more than once and its always the same home feeling. The house has everything you need, the porch is amazing for hanging out and the view while eating from the kitchen table is beautiful. Close to lots of nature. Cant say enough great things
